Vince DiMaggio Played for the Blues

Most fans of Pacific Coast baseball history know the story of the young Joe Dimaggio playing a couple games at Shortstop at the end of the 1932 season with his older brother on the San Francisco Seals. Then really making an impact on baseball in 1933 when he became a rookie sensation in the PCL. But what happened to Vince? Well, Joe ended up playing in the out field and Vince was cut . He ended up back in the PCL. But till he joined Hollywood he played for the San Mateo Blues. The Blues were one of the best Semipro teams in Northern California. The Blues skipper had a keen eye for young talent and PCL connections.
