Blues beat out Vallejo first tilt; score 4-1

The San Mateo Times, By Jerry Locals tie old record of 19 straight wins; Osborne gets homer. Before one of the largest crowds that has been in city park for some weeks past, including in its number scouts from the Pittsburg, Chicago White Sox and Seals, the San Mateo Blues on Sunday afternoon equalled its 1923 record of 19 consecutive games won by defeating the Vallejo outfit 4 to 1. It was a pitchers' battle all the way through with the major honors going to Genial Gene Camozzi who struck out 11, and allowed but six hits, while Conroy struck out 5 and allowed 8 hits. It was a fine game from start to finish, with no dull moments and anyone else who had somewhere else to spend the day missed one of the best of the season.[scrapbook to here]
