I can remember a doubleheader one weekend day that was split between San Quentin and Lodi with a stop in the middle back in San Mateo to pick up some pitching. Very exciting time for a kid. Tiring for everyone else. I did play for the Burlingame Bay Meadows Red Sox run by Jack Maloney and the Menlo Park Recs run by Dennis Anderson. I was never good enough to play for The Blues. Wes Rose on May 9, 2014 at 10:48 pm I remember pitching against Jim Lewis and this player could really hit the ball I remember hearing that he hit the longest homerun @ Central Park over the right field fence and it cleared the trees in that ballpark but I remember he was a hell of a hitter.
